We step to you in Blackness. I’m EJ Jones “BlackFist” former NFL player (Kansas City Chiefs) who together with my lovely Queen Deborah-Davis Jones who I’ve known for 36 years decided to launch the RBGGear.com. We both were raised on the Southside of Chicago, IL and attended the same high school (CVS). I attended the University of Kansas (Jayhawks) on a football scholarship and graduated with a degree in Communications. The RBGGear.com concept could not have been started without My Queen. As Hip Artist Shaggy stated “Never underestimate the strength of a (Black) woman”. Now RBG was created long before my born date and to be specific somewhere around 1920 when the great Marcus Garvey the founder of the United Negro Improvement Association better known as the U.N.I.A. He came up with the tricolors RED (Blood), Black (People) and Green (Land) flag. A concept that is rooted in the economic, political, education, physical and social structure for the uplifting of the black community. One which unties all people of Black African decedents around the globe. Marcus Garvey was a true Pan-African who Pro-Black, Unapologetic Black, for him it was “Race First”.

The late scholar Dr. Henrick Clarke once said, “That a Nation that couldn’t make its own underwear could never be called a Nation”. He stated “That if we could build a dynasty once before, then we could do it again”. So in the spirit of Dr. Clarke; lets build together starting from the ground up and what better way then to start with the Pan-African footwear from rbggear.com

The RBG sneaker line is a brand new shoe for a brand new day created by Tarik Edmonds out of Atlanta, GA who I had the pleasure of meeting at an Amen Ra Squad conference along with Brother Ankh. Immediately after the introduction, I knew that the Red, Black and Green shoe was the product that our people needed to have in order to bring the African conscious to light. RBGGear.com was launched in 2015 to bring quality products from black owned businesses and entrepreneurs to the forefront under the Red, Black and Green Flag.
